Eunice (Nissa) Lee, CMT

Early Beginnings

Eunice's journey into bodywork began when she was a young aspiring concert pianist in college. Amidst countless hours of practices and performances, she developed a repetitive strain hand injury and was forced to take a break and receive treatment. When traditional therapies did not work, Eunice sought out  a collaborative team including a chiropractor, Pilates instructor, and massage therapist who helped her recover.  Through this experience, she discovered a newfound passion for health and wellness. Upon graduating college in 2003, she began massage therapy school and has enjoyed being in the field for 15 years. Eunice loves to continue advancing her knowledge and has acquired specialized trainings in Active Release Technique®, methods of Structural Integration, Orthopedic Massage, and Sports Massage. She is also a Board-Certified Music Therapist and has a Masters Degree in Music from Northwestern University.

Massage Therapy Experience

Eunice completed a 750 hour program at Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2004. This training set a strong foundation for her. She acquired experience in a variety of settings including chiropractic offices, a physical and occupational therapy clinic, fitness centers, and corporations with wellness programs before opening her own practice in 2011.  Eunice's personal experience with a performance related repetitive strain injury influenced her to complete advanced training in Ben Benjamin Orthopedic Massage for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. As an active person and former marathoner, Eunice also developed a special interest in working with athletes and became certified in Active Release Technique (ART ®).  She is interested in customizing sessions to meet anyone who walks through the door whether an avid gardener, orchestral musician, computer worker, or athlete. Eunice has a strong interest in injury prevention and pain management and enjoys providing high quality bodywork and massage in San Luis Obispo County.

When not in the office, Eunice enjoys being active outdoors, traveling, listening to live music, designing websites, cooking, spending time with her corgi, and creating art. She is passionate about supporting community causes especially involving mental health and at risk families and youth.
